Sarcoidosis

Scabies is an itchy skin condition caused by a tiny burrowing mite called Sarcoptes scabies. Intense itching occurs in the area where the mite burrows. The urge to scratch may be especially strong at night.

Causes
Caused by the burrowing mite called Sarcoptes Scabiei
Symptoms
-Intense itching, especially at night -red rashes and bumps which usually develop where the mite burrows on the skin -The burrows or tracks typically appear in folds of skin
Manage
Scabies is a highly contagious disease which can infect others through direct skin contact so managing it in the right way is important. Treatment for scabies usually involves getting rid of the infestation with prescription ointments, creams, and lotions that can be applied directly to the skin. Oral medications are also available. Your doctor will probably instruct you to apply the medicine at night when the mites are most active.
Approaches
Both homoeopathic and allopathic treatment can be given in this condition. Allopathic treatment may include ointments, lotions and oral medications as well as some insecticidal medications.
Investigation
There are no particular investigations required as most rashes on the skin can be recognised as scabies
