Bone Tumour (Bone Cancer)

Cancer that begins in bone (primary bone cancer) is differentfrom cancer that begins somewhere else in the body and spreads to bone(secondary bone cancer). Primary bone cancer affects more males than females, and is rare. In 2001, doctors were expected to diagnose about 2,900 new casesof bone and joint cancer. Some types of bone cancer affect mostly teenagers.

Exact cause is not known yet.
Three main types of bone cancer are involved in about 75percent of all cases:

  • Osteosarcoma, the most common bone cancer, usually develops in tissues in the growing bones of children and adolescents, age 10-25. It typically occurs around the knee. Other common locations includethe upper leg and upper arm. Osteosarcoma can also affect the elderly inassociation with Paget disease
  • Chondrosarcoma develops in cartilage andusually affects adults, age 50-60.
  • Theupper leg, pelvis and shoulder are common sites.
  • Ewing’ssarcoma may begin in immature cells in the bone marrow and usually affectschildren and adolescents, age 10-20. The upper leg, arm, pelvis and ribs arethe main locations.
  • Some common benign tumors include giant celltumor, unicameral bone cyst, osteoid osteoma and benign cartilage tumors.

In many cases, benign bone tumors need no treatment otherthan observation. Certain benign tumors can become malignant and metastasize.
Sometimes, your doctor may recommend removing the tumor (excision) or using other treatmenttechniques to reduce the risk of fracture and disability. Some tumors may comeback after removal.

Treatment goals include curing the cancer and preservingbodily functions. Doctors often combine several methods of treatment formalignant bone tumors depending upon various factors including whether thecancer has spread. Localized stage cancer cells are contained to the tumor andsurrounding area. Metastatic stage cancer cells have spread elsewhere in thebody. This stage is more serious and harder to cure. Local treatments includesurgery and radiation therapy: Limb salvage surgery removes the canceroussection of bone while preserving nearby tendons, nerves and blood vessels.
Ifpossible, the doctor will excise the entire tumor and a margin of healthytissue around it. He or she will replace the excised bone and joint with a bonetransplant or a metallic replacement (prosthesis). Amputation removes all orpart of an arm or leg when the tumor is large and/or nerves or blood vesselsare involved. Radiation therapy uses high-dose X-rays to kill cancer cells andshrink tumors. Additional treatments are used for cancer that has spread:Chemotherapy uses drugs to kill cancer cells.
Youtake it by pill or needle injection into a vein or muscle. After treatment Whentreatment for a bone tumor is finished, you may need more X-rays and otherimaging studies to confirm that it is actually gone. You may need to haveregular doctor visits and tests every few months. When the tumor disappears,it’s important to monitor your body for its possible return (relapse).

  • Chemotherapy and radiotherapy
  • Homoeopathy can help as a complimentary system of medicine in relieving the pains as well as preventing further complications caused due to the bone cancer.

Your doctor will probably take a series of X-rays to see thetumor’s exact location, level of activity and other characteristics. If thetumor looks like it might be cancer, you may also need additional imagingstudies such as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT scan (computed tomography)or ultrasonography plus laboratory tests on blood and urine samples to providemore details about the extent of disease.
Biopsy:Your doctor will probably need to remove a tissue sample (biopsy) from thetumor to examine by microscope. Biopsy can reveal the presence of cancer cells, the type of tumor and its degree of malignancy (grade).

Blood Pressure / Hypertension / BP /High Blood Pressure

Before this we must understand What exactly is Blood Pressure .To explain To have proper perfusion to occur in all the tissues of the body , Heart has to pump blood with sufficient pressure. This is called the Arterial pressure or Blood Pressure. Or it is defined as a Lateral pressure exerted by blood column on the arterial wall.It is simply the pressure exerted by the blood on the vessel walls, measured in millimeters of mercury(Hg) by Sphigmomanometer.

  1. Heriditary Factor : Commonly seen in the children of hypertensive patients, twins. This is due to abnormality in trans-cellular sodium transport which is one of the genetic defect.
  2. Mental Stress: Stress in everyday life is one of the most common aetiological factors found in now a days life style.
  3. Dietry Factor: Excessive intake of Salt and Fats in rich diet throgh pickles, papads, fast foods etc. and over use of salt in daily diet.
  4. Low Potassium diet :
  • Alcohol : Alcoholics often suffer from hypertension. Although alcohol does not have any direct effect on hypertension, yet it effects indirectly and is seen during the withdrawl stage which is mediated by sympathetic nervous system.
  • Obesity : Caused due to more salt, fat and crbohydrate intake and sedentary habits.
  • Smoking.

Factors for Secondary Hypertension can be:-

  1. RENAL:- Hydronephrosis, Renal Artery Stenosis, Glomerulo-Nephritis Polycystic renal disease, Diabetes.
  2. ENDOCRINAL:-Cushing’s syndrome, Adrenal Carcinoma, Hyperparathyroidism, Hypothyroidism, Pheochromocytoma.
  3. CARDIO – VASCULAR: – Raised Systolic pressure in Aortic Regurgitation or in Complete Heart Block, Coarctation of Aorta.
  4. CEREBRAL:- Cerebral Trauma, Encephalitis, Increased Intracranial Pressure due to any causes, Bulbar Poliomyelitis.
  5. TOXIC:- Toxaemia of Pregnancy, Intake of Oral Contraceptives Steroids or Lead toxicity, Estrogen therapy.
  6. POLYCYTHEMIA VERA:-
  7. DRUGS INDUCED :- Out of all these mentioned types, essential hypertension is commonly seen. Most of the times such causes are ignored and patient comes with the complications.

Most symptoms of hypertension generally start after a patientknows that he/she has HT. Usually it is asymptomatic. In early stages thehypertension is fluctuant. It rises to abnormal levels under the influence ofemotional changes etc. and later on it becomes permanently elevated even atrest.

  • Occasionally patient may complain of vaguecomplaints like Headache, which is usually occipital which starts on waking andimproves with the day.
  • Heaviness of head
  • Giddiness
  • Palpitation
  • Paroxysmal Nocturnal Dyspnoea.
  • The commonest presentation is patient says thatnowadays I feel very angry or the accompanying person tells that he/she feelsvery angry and agitated on trivial matters, so please check my or his/her BP.
  • Weight reduction in obese patients.
  • Low Sodium diet.
  • Salt restriction
  • Stress management
  • Moderation of Alcohol and Smoking.
  • Psychological factors should be looked into and treated first.
  • Avoidance of Physical Strain.
  • Rest and Relaxation.
  • Moderation of physical activity.
  • Strenuous exertions, sudden and prolonged stress should be restricted or stopped.
  • Change in the outlook and life style.
  • Inclusion of Yogasnas, preferably under the guidance of an expert (Padmasana, Dhanurasna, Matsyasana and Shavasana are supposed to be the best for the HT patients.

It is more important for a homoeopath to get these done onstarting the treatment as well as in follow – up because the Modern medicineshave been proved to be Target Organ Protective. We must be sure of the efficacyof the treatment and our patient is not dying a slow death by Target OrganDamage with NO external manifestation, as HT is rightly called the Silent Killer.

Role of Homeopathy in tackling a case of Acute Hypertension

BLOOD PRESSURE

This is a case of 49 year old housewife, Mrs. Kain. Her daughter is a patient of Dr. Sanket Gupta and on one of such visits she had come to see him at his clinic in Satya Niketan, Moti Bagh. While she was sitting inside the chamber and narrating her complains to the doctor, she received a call from her house and she immediately became panicky. The call was from her father who told her that her mother was having shooting pain in her head and was crying with pain. As she was an old hypertensive, they checked her blood pressure. The reading was 220/130mm of Hg. Even on checking the blood pressure again after 5 minutes, the reading was still the same.
The terrified girl told everything to Dr. Sanket and asked him if he could help her with anything to stop the agony of her mother. Dr. Sanket gave her some medicines to give to her mother at an interval of every 5 minutes and advised her to rush her mother to the hospital as there was a definite danger of stroke. Luckily she was staying nearby so she could immediately go home and medicate her mother. They decided to take her to the nearby Primus hospital in Chanakya Puri.
She kept giving the homoeopathic liquid medicines to her mother all along the way. Within this half an hour itself she started feeling relaxation in her head and by the time they reached the emergency section of the Primus hospital and a nurse checked her blood pressure, her BP had come down to 156/104mm of Hg! The hospital doctors kept her under observation for 2 hrs after listening to the narrative of her family. The girl though kept giving the same Homoeopathic medicines to her mother, though at longer intervals of 20 minutes each. The doctor had asked the nurse to check her BP every half an hour. With every reading there was a gradual and steady decline in the Blood pressure of the 49yr old woman. Seeing that the BP was now well maintained and out of danger, the doctor asked her family to take her back home.
At this time a much relieved girl called Dr. Sanket to thank him and tell him that her mother was doing fine now and was much much better with the final reading being 132/90 mm of Hg when they left from the hospital. Since that day, Mrs. Kain became a fan of homoeopathy and now takes regular Homoeopathic treatment for all her ailments.

Bells Palsy

Bell’s palsy is a condition that causes a temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles in the face. It can occur when the nerve that controls the facial muscles becomes inflamed, swollen, or compressed.

Although Bell’s palsy can occur at any age, the condition is more common among people between ages 16 and 60. Bell’s palsy is named after the Scottish anatomist Charles Bell, who was the first to describe the condition.

Bell’s palsy occurs when the seventh cranial nerve becomes swollen or compressed, resulting in facial weakness or paralysis. The exact cause of this damage is unknown, but it is believed it’s most likely triggered by a viral infection.

The viruses/bacteria that have been linked to the development of Bell’s palsy include:

  • herpes simplex, which causes cold sores and genital herpes
  • HIV, which damages the immune system
  • sarcoidosis, which causes organ inflammation
  • herpes zoster virus, which causes chickenpox and shingles
  • Epstein-Barr virus, which causes mononucleosis
  • Lyme disease, which is a bacterial infection caused by infected ticks

The symptoms of Bell’s palsy can develop one to two weeks after one has a cold, ear infection, or eye infection. They usually appear abruptly, and patient may notice them when they wake up in the morning or when they try to eat or drink.
Bell’s palsy is marked by a droopy appearance on one side of the face and the inability to open or close the eye on the affected side. Other signs and symptoms of Bell’s palsy include:

  • drooling
  • difficulty eating and drinking
  • an inability to make facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning
  • facial weakness
  • muscle twitches in the face
  • dry eye and mouth
  • headache
  • sensitivity to sound
  • irritation of the eye on the involved side
  • An eye patch (for the dry eye)
  • A warm, moist towel over the face to relieve pain
  • Facial massage
  • Physical therapy exercises to stimulate the facial muscles

Bell’s Palsy is a very painful condition and may require high dosage of corticosteroids and anti-viral or anti-bacterial drugs to provide relief.
With Homoeopathy though, Bell’s Palsy is totally curable. The time taken to cure has been seen to be much lesser than the conventional system and that too without any side-effects. Also, the sooner the treatment is started the lesser are the chances of any complication to develop.

Behcet’s Disease

Rare immune-mediated small-vessel systemic vasculitis that often presents with mucous membrane ulceration and ocular problems Named in 1937 after the Turkish dermatologist Hulusi Behçet, who first described the triple-symptom complex of recurrent oral aphthous ulcers, genital ulcers, and uveitis. Considered more prevalent in the areas surrounding the old silk trading routes in the Middle East and in Central Asia. Thus, it is sometimes known as Silk Road Disease This syndrome can be fatal due to ruptured vascular aneurysms or severe neurological complications.

Treatment

In diseases like Behcet’s Disease, where there is multi-organ involvement and life is at risk, Homoeopathy can prove to be a source of hope and relief for sure. As Homoeopathy is an individual-based science, so the kind of symptoms the patients present with, if a correct similar remedy is prescribed, then even the most dreadful diseases like Behcet’s disease can be taken care of very well.

At AKGsOVIHAMS itself there has been a brilliant success story of this disease. Both Acute and chronic stages of this disease can be tackled well with Homoeopathy and the patient can lead a peaceful life.

Bed Wetting / Enuresis

Bed Wetting is a very commonly seen problem inthe clinic for which parents seek treatment and get concerned out ofproportion. Children vary in the age at which they gain nocturnal continence ofurine. About 10-15%of normal children at the age of 5 years still wet the bedat night. Boys slightly predominate over girls (as girls generally attainnocturnal bladder control early than boys), and there is increased incidence insome families.

Causes
Symptoms

The factors leading to gaining in the bladder control arecomplex and involve maturation of the necessary neurological pathways as wellas emotional factors.
– Though there can be physical or organic causes also for the bed wetting suchas

  • Urinary Tract Infection,
  • Constipation,
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • or the Laxed Urethral Sphincter
  • or it can be the effect of extreme cold or damp climate
The occurrence of enuresis in day-time is particularlysignificant and may be related to Urinary Tract Infection or Diabetes Mellitus.

– Otherwisemore often it is again psychological inorigin, may be associated with emotional anxieties. On detailed history it isnormally revealed that either of the parents also had similar problem in theiryoung days. A homoeopath can definitely point it out that the child is verylikely to be fearful in nature. The child may have the fear of darkness, ofbeing alone and of being harmed.

For the management of the cases of nocturnal enuresis, some significant actions are to be followed:

  1. It is important to carefully explain to theanxious parents the nature and course of nocturnal enuresis and that allchildren in the course of time will become continent of urine. This isimportant to explain to the child as well, as he may feel that he never will bedry at night. As it further aggravates the problem and the child startdeveloping some kind of frustration and guilty also.
  2. Asking the child to empty the bladder beforegoing to bed and waking the child again and asking him/her to urinate beforethe parents go to bed often helps. Avoiding excessive fluid intake beforebedtime also helps but it should be remembered that the children require arelatively higher fluid intake than adults and so fluids before bedtime can berestricted reasonably only. Children should be asked to refrain from readingvery exciting, thrilling comics and story books also should restrict them fromwatching very exciting movies etc. on T.V and Videos. Eating very heavy food orover eating in dinner should also be avoided.
  3. Child can be asked to put a mark of right ona diary or calendar on the day he does not pass urine in the bed and put a markof wrong the day he wets his bed at night and ask him to show after a week, this keeps a psychological awareness and pressure at the subconscious level andhe passes more dry nights. Parents can be asked to praise or give some kind ofincentives to the child during the days he does not pass urine in the bed andcan be given a very light kind of punishment such as asking him to wash hisdirty clothes by himself/herself  which makes him/her  realize aboutit, also found effective measure. We have found this method very helpful, wherewe have seen young adult girls and boys also having the problem of nocturnalenuresis, there it has to be tackled more tactfully by making them take outtheir fears and inhibitions or by making them feel the sense of shame or so butwithout affecting their normal life pattern. For the younger children enuresisalarm beds are probably a safe and effective method.
  4. Children who have some other physical ororganic cause e.g. worms and infection etc. should be treated for that also.
  5. In certaincases, I have seen that the children draw pleasure whenever the mother getsirritated by this act of bedwetting of the child, here it is very important tounderstand the cause and explain the irritating mother about the wholepsychological development as it has been seen that the children were deprivedof the mother’s affection and care earlier and later the child develops thesadistic pleasure by seeing their mother in such situation. In this case theunderstanding and the bondage between the mother and child has to beestablished.

Homeopathicallythese children can be helped to a greater extent. We have seen wonderfulresults in certain obstinate cases of nocturnal enuresis where the patient was beingtreated even by sedatives and tricyclic drugs etc. without much benefit under othersystem of medicine, but the got rid off this problem permanently withHomoeopathy.

Alzheimer s Disease

This disease has gained lot of consideration and lime light after Ronald Reagan the former US president was found to be affected with it. Mother Nature has blessed mankind amongst all the entities on the earth with an extraordinary quality of logical and rational thinking. The storehouse of immense knowledge, ‘BRAIN’ is the source of this exceptional attribute. Unfortunately, the entire system of an individual becomes handicapped as the same brain starts deteriorating. The major culprit who is involved in the deterioration of brain is Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Alzheimer’s disease is a devastating disease of brain that robs the afflicted individual of intelligence, memory and eventually life.

Many diverse medical theories, including the biochemistry of acetylcholine and neurotransmitters, inflammation, oxidative stress and free radicals, and homocystine, nutritional and vitamin deficiencies, as probable causes of Alzheimer’s disease have been put forth.

Declining memory is the most common early symptom of Alzheimer’s. Some change in memory is normal as we grow older, but the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease are more than simple lapses in memory.

Alzheimer patients need to be taken care of very cautiously. Such a patient should not be left alone at all. A congenial surrounding environment has been seen to delay the process of degeneration.

Although Alzheimer’s disease has always puzzled physicians of all walks, interestingly homeopathy system offers reasonably positive treatment if not cure. When we discuss the role of medicine for certain diseases, we probably do not talk of the ‘cure’ in real sense, but more of ‘control’ and ‘relief’. AD is one such condition, where homeopathy has following role to play:

  • To control the disease process whereby further deterioration of the brain damage is helped to certain extent
  • To improve to an extent some of the symptoms: communication, failing memory, anxiety, restlessness, etc.
  • Many of the problems associated with dementia such as restlessness, depression, and agitation can be treated effectively and gently with homeopathy.
  • It may also be possible, especially in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, to improve someone’s memory with homeopathic medication.
  • Timely administered homeopathy medicines can prevent further progress of disease.
  • Homoeopathy undertakes study of each Alzheimer’s as separate entity and does in-depth evaluation of the disease as well as patient as person. The study also involves deep evaluation of the mind and emotions. After appreciating the patients in his totality, a suitable medicine called as ‘constitutional medicine’ is selected for the patient. The medication based on such foundation brings deeper level healing process for the sufferers of chronic diseases.
  • It should be noted that there is no single specific remedy for all the cases of Alzheimer’s. The exact treatment is determined only on in-depth evaluation of individual case.

Brain scan like CT and MRI to detect other causes of dementia such as stroke and laboratory tests, such as blood and urine tests, for checking various components of blood, hormones, enzymes, infections, etc.

Case of Alzheimer treated with Homoeopathy

Patient suffering from Alzhiemer’s Disease ,with chronic Diabetes and Hypertension was brought with condition & episodes where she was unable to recognise even the family members, would not know whether she has eaten food or not etc., used to remain gloomy, with loss of time adaption etc. Family members were made to understand that nothing much can be done now after visiting hospitals. Pateint responded very well to the Homoeopathic treatment at AKGsOVIHAMS . Now she responds and answers appropriately.

AIDS (Acquired Immuno – Deficiency Syndrome) / HIV

AIDS which means Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome was first discovered or appeared in 1981, was considered to be the disease of Homosexual/Bisexual men and Intra venous Drug abusers. Only later did it become evident that AIDS could also strike women and children.

AIDS which is caused by the Retrovirus HIV is the latest challenge to the medical profession, and like all other systems of medicine Homoeopathy is also trying hard to have a breakthrough for its treatment and cure. AIDS, like common cold is a viral infection caused by the tiny microscopic viruses labeled as “HIV” (Human Immuno Virus). Unfortunately the AIDS virus has managed to outsmart human beings in the struggle for survival. AIDS is characterized by a defect of the natural Immune system in the body fighting against diseases. Persons afflicted by the disease are vulnerable to serious illnesses which would not be a threat to anyone whose immune system was functioning normally .These illnesses are referred to as “Opportunistic Infections” or diseases.
AIDS is spread by Sexual contact with the infected person(s), Needle sharing (as in intra venous drug addicts), less commonly through the Transfusion of Blood or its components .The risk of infection with the virus is increased by having multiple sexual partners (homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual) and sharing the needles by those abusing drugs. It may be transmitted from infected mothers to infants before, during or shortly after birth as prenatal transmission.
Most individuals infected with HIV have no symptoms and feel well. The incubation period seem to range from 6 months to 7 years and possibly longer, while the interval between the exposure to the HIV and the blood test i.e. ( Elisa Test) positive for HIV antibodies is from 6 weeks to 6 months. Not everyone exposed to the virus develop AIDS .The symptoms occur as per the stages.
STAGE – I: This occurs 2 – 3 weeks after exposure to virus; the symptoms are a Low Grade Fever, Fatigue and a mild Rash on the Face. These signs may go unnoticed by both the patient and the doctor.
STAGE – II: This stage starts between 6 weeks and 6 months after the infection and may last for a period ranging between 8 months and 5 – 7 years. There are no visible signs except the low Grade Fever and some Thrush on the Tongue accompanied by Weight Loss and constant Diarrhea. This is the stage with a maximum chance of passing on the infection.
STAGE – III: During this stage an Enlargement of the Lymph Nodes all over the body is noticed including the Neck, Armpits and Groin.
STAGE – IV: This stage has 4 sections.

  1. Constitutional disease; Symptoms like Fever, Cough, Night Sweats, Diarrhea and Weight Loss are noticed.
  2. Neurological disease: Involvement of the brain giving rise to Headaches, Meningitis and a general stage of Confusion.
  3. Secondary Infections : These are untreatable infections often caused by organisms which are otherwise harmless to the human body e.g. uncontrolled Diarrhea, generalized Tuberculosis, continuous Fever, Herpes Zoster which is characterized by painful Blisters along the nerve tracts and also Meningitis.
  4. Secondary Cancer: This stage is often called Fully Blown up cases of AIDS as Kaposi’s Sarcoma where the signs are : Loss of more than 10% of Bodyweight, Continuous Fever for a month, Herpes Simplex, Herpes Zoster, Swollen Lymph Glands, Persistent Cough signs of Peripheral Nerve Damage.

Though AIDS may not treatable or curable as on date but, “AIDS Is Very Much Preventable ”
The measures to prevent the spread of HIV infections :-
(i) One can avoid the infection through sexual contact if one abstains from sex or has mutually monogamous marriage or relationship with an uninfected partner.
(ii) Avoid sexual relations with the people known or suspected of having AIDS or with the persons who are positive for HIV antibodies and the persons having high risk behavior (like female prostitutes, hijras, and drug addicts). However if one can not avoid this, then one should follow the advice of “Safer Sex” guidelines. Use Condoms, which can reduce the possibility of transmitting the virus up to 85%.
(iii) One should avoid practices which injure body tissues as in the cases of Homosexuals and in anal intercourse.
(iv)One should avoid Oral sex or oral genital sexual contact.
(v) Avoid – open mouthed intimate (French) kissing.
(vi)Do not abuse drugs especially Intra venous for that matter oral or smoke also. If must one use, then, never share the needles.
(vii) Avoid sharing toothbrushes, razors, or other personal hygiene things contaminated with blood of AIDS patients or persons with high risk behavior.
Dietary Regimen for the Infected Patients

  • Minor changes in one’s eating habits can lead to major changes in one’s health.
  • Patients having AIDS should eat plenty of Whole Grains, Fruits & vegetables, Nuts & oily Fish, Meat, liver & eggs, Pasteurized dairy products.
  • They should cut down on Tea, Coffee & Colas, and Alcohol.
  • Should also avoid Undercooked and unwashed foods, Raw or lightly cooked eggs, Unpasturised dairy products.
  • Many people who are HIV positive or have AIDS turn to a regime of MACEOBIOTIC foods. However, such diets may do more harm than good as they tend to be bulky and promote weight loss because they contain too few calories.

So far there is no definite treatment or cure for AIDS, no vaccine has been found out. Still in Homoeopathy as per the CCRH (Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy) patients with HIV positive has been believed to become Sero Negative after the persistent homoeopathic treatment. As such in homoeopathy treatment is given after the thorough case taking which includes Mental, Emotional, and Social and Physical aspects of the patient’s life. On the basis of such detailed history the constitutional remedy is found out in each case which may be separate though physically they might give the same set of symptoms. And interestingly homoeopathic remedies are able to bring about a change in the mental outlook of the patient.

Adenomyosis

Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus (the endometrium) breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus (the myometrium). The displaced tissue continues to act normally — thickening, breaking down and bleeding — during each menstrual cycle.

  • Uterine incisions made during an operation such as a C-section, Fibroid removal etc. might promote the direct invasion of the endometrial cells into the wall of the uterus
  • Other experts suspect that endometrial tissue is deposited in the uterine muscle when the uterus is first formed in the foetus • Uterine inflammation related to childbirth
  • Recent theory proposes that bone marrow stem cells might invade the uterine muscle
  • Middle age
  • Low Estrogen levels
  • Bulky uterus
  • Heavy, prolonged menstrual bleeding
  • Severe menstrual cramps
  • Abdominal pressure and bloating
  • Anaemia
  • Lot of weakness
  • Accompanied urinary tract infection in some cases
  • Weight gain
  • Anaemia
  • Hot fomentation over the abdomen helps in relieving the pain
  • Avoid doing strenuous physical work
  • Maintain a healthy lifestyle
  • Avoid taking too many painkillers

Adenomyosis is being seen very commonly these days in females ranging from 30 to 40yrs of age. It can be a very troublesome condition for the lady as persistent and painful menstrual flow causes a havoc in the daily life of the patient. As mentioned above, there are no sure shot reasons for the development of Adenomyosis in a uterus, but there can be a certain risk factors for sure. One very important factor apart from the ones mentioned above that can lead up to adenomyosis is persistent and chronic stress. This stress can be at physical or mental level or both. For example, the working females at times find it difficult to strike a balance between their personal and professional life and end up being tormented in terms of health.

The condition does not have much of a treatment in the Allopathic system of medicine. Usually, hormonal therapy is sort for but it is often unsuccessful and eventually the Gynaecologist advises for Hysterectomy (Removal of Uterus). Now, this is one surgery that is not only avoidable but can have a lot of repercussions later on. Most of the women who get hysterectomy done under these circumstances suffer in some way or the other later on in their lives. Like Arthritis, Hormonal imbalances etc.

Homoeopathy, on the other hand has a very full proof and permanent cure for this malady. There is absolutely no need for the surgical removal of the uterus. The treatment is symptomatic to begin with and curative to end with. The idea is to firstly normalize the menstrual cycle so as to reduce the pain and persistent and continuous menstrual bleeding. Once that is achieved, over a period of time the uterus starts healing from within and the patient is completely cured.

We at AKGsOVIHAMS have been able to help and cure a lot of ladies from this troublesome disease and saved them from going under the scalpel. No only this, it even prevents the possible bone depletion and other side effects of a Hysterectomy.

  • Clinical Physical examination
  • USG of the Pelvis
  • MRI of the uterus
  • Hormonal Analysis
