Repetitive Negative Thinking leads to Depression – Kaartik Gupta, Clinical Psychologist AKGsOVIHAMS

44th National Annual Conference of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACIACP) was held at Gautam Buddha University, Gautam Budh Nagar, U.P. from 23rd-25th Feb, 2018. The conference also marked the Golden Jubilee Year of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP) that has been working for the recognition and welfare of Licensed Clinical Psychologists in India.

The theme for this year’s NACIACP was “Role of Clinical Psychologists in Mental Health Advocacy: Challenges and Perspectives in Global Scenario”. Prof. (Dr.) Amool R. Widespread stigma in our society is a major hindrance for people seeking professional help and the only way to counter this is to make people more aware of the importance of mental health, sensitising about mental illness, and providing easy access to mental health professionals.

The conference was a great success as nearly 500 professionals presented their research papers in the scientific sessions.
